Guided 5 hour walk
Cross over to the most south westerly island in Ireland by cable car (the only one in the country) and explore. There is so much to see, and all away from the hustle and bustle of modern life. See a Napoleonic signal tower, see the old fort where islanders were besieged, a cliff face where a mass execution took place. You will also see the ruin of the Calf Rock, and the Bull Rock
€45 pp include cost of using the cable car |

3/ Other Walks
Let me take you into the valleys where I get inspiration to paint the scenes I do. The little houses tucked away in remote places with babbling brooks and farm scenes. I can train your eye, show you what I am looking at. These are not workshops as such, more of a guided walk to give you some insight into what fills my mind as I paint scenes like the one below. I called them Beara Peninsula Walks. Spend a couple of hours with me and I will fill your mind with ideas to paint. Take down a quick sketch, take a shot with your camera or phone
These walks are €20 for 2 hours, €35 for half a day and afterwards I will have you seeing life from off the beaten track
4 Workshops
For these I take you into the wild terrain of Beara and show you how to use your camera to achieve more interesting results, train your eye in so avoid taking unnecessary subject, see the shot better, different angles, or ones you might not have thought of. I call them observation workshops because what I am teaching you is the necessary art of observation before making that click of the shutter. Composition, what to leave in and what to avoid. Often I still get it wrong, and look at the picture on the back of the camera and wish I had made a simple adjustment. It can be simply a matter of standing 12 inches to the right or left, that makes all the difference between a good shot and a truly great one
