Designed by George Halpin it was built in 1768 at the end of the harbour wall that runs out from Dublin Harbour on the south side of the entrance. They were doing building work on the wall when I went to take the postcard picture #73, and No Entry signs were in place. However when the foreman met me and understood what I was doing he very kindly let me go ahead and take my shots
