No longer a working lighthouse, it ceased operations in 1965 and replaced by Achillbeg. The lighthouse was originally built in 1806 and has recently been loving restored by the German owner Goesta Fischer and his Irish business partner Roie Mc Cann. You can now go and stay there in sumptious comfort, unwind from the pressures of life in one of the most spectacular locations Ireland has to offer.
