Kilcatherine Point
At the tip of the Kilcatherine Peninsula, between Kenmare and
Coulagh bays. Signs of ancient quarrying dating back many years.
On the Kenmare Bay side the cliffs are abrupt. A great place for
a walk, and watch sunsets over the Iveragh peninsula. Picture

The Cod's head
Dividing Coulagh Bay from Ballydonegan Bay
You can see it from many vantage spots on the Beara Peninsula
jutting out into the Wild Atlantic. The Deirdre Purcell novel
'Falling for a Dancer' was filmed on the Coulagh Bay side. Colin

Dursey Island Western End
A cable car connects this wild but breathtaking island to the
mainland of the Beara Peninsula. There are three villages, a
single track road connecting them, making for great walking
opportunities. Bird and whale watchers come to the island,
basking sharks can often be seen on the south side. A Napoleanic
signal tower stands high on the western summit

Sheeps Head
The tip of the Dunmanus Peninsula dividing Dunmanus Bay from
Bantry Bay to the north. It has a small lighthouse on the Bantry
Bay side, which was built to help guide the super tankers bound
for Whiddy Island. Now part of the Sheeps Head Way which proves
very popular for walkers
